      ... A session with a couple of the ships senior officers. Apparently the captain couldn't attend due to an 'emergency', joke - he was just busy. There were some good questions: Q - is the harbour pilot responsible for the ship when we enter and leave harbour?       I have not been in Athens but the Valley of the Temples of Agrigento must be quite close if not better. You can easily spend half a day in the place although we had to rush as the weather was not nice. In fact it was the nicest weather we were going to have all day. Today we didn't drive; we sailed with our car to Palermo across muddy waters in the middle of a tropical storm.

      ... Sicilian coastline. Palermo was hyped to be the bees knees. After parking in a not so bees kneesy’ aire costing 18euros we headed into town. Palermo has a dusty and somewhat dingy fašade apparently evidence of its dodgy past with mafia running around.
