      The WiFi Debate

After reading an article in a little Thai brochure about backpackers using WiFi on their travels it got me thinking about my opinion on the matter. Is it wrong to constantly connect to the WiFi when leaving the rest of your world behind and starting your adventure? In some cases I would just love to switch off my phone, never connect to the WiFi and leave all electronic devices behind. On a week long holiday, yes. I love to just switch off from all of that, have no phone buzzing ...

... Once seated at a restaurant, it began to down pour. I guess it was a good time to eat and head back. I should mention that nearly every restaurant or shop here has 3 walls, not a front wall with a door. So when it rains, we are in the line of fire if not under the roof. After Tip picked us back up with Anya's mom, after they went shopping, we headed back home. Originally we were going to shower off the sand and get massages, however, the ...

A travel blog entry by conanashdown on Nov 13, 2012

... But was an achievement. After training I was in the pool all day. Boiling hot it was and has been all week. 5 of us went for a meal that night. Felt exhausted actually. Saturday morning did not train as my body was still sore. Me and travis (my pal from the states) headed back to hua hin to stay the night! My place cost 20. It was great for the price. Big clean bright room, balcony, king size bed, air con, nice big bathroom and a safe! Trav stayed down the road ...

We again woke up early to have breakfast and hurried back to our room to enjoy the pool. It was the last day here so we didn't want to waste our time. When we finished everything, we packed our stuff and were ready to leave. The staff were friendly and helpful for the fast checkout. We left the hotel for Ley cafe which was 1.5 km away from the resort. We went there due to the reviews on Wongnai app, saying ...

Cars, Boats and change of plans

Drive from Khao Yai to Hua Hin around Bangkok, the driving is here is considerably worse than in the civilised North. The trucks are properly scary drifting across the road for no reason. No doubt this is when the driver is trying to get some snoozing in!

On the way to Hua Hin we drove to a park about 80km round trip only to discover it was closed!!
