... overlooking the street. We walked to the beach and found that the tide was in. It reminded us of patong beach and we both had the feeling of, what have we done coming here. Beds and umbrellas filled sections of the beach and horses waiting to be ridden by tourists. ... Hyatt hotel in Singapore… it was time to send my liver on a recreation / vacation trip… i arrived to Bangkok on June 11 and after a short transfer I arrived to Hua Hin the same afternoon. Hua Hin is a small and relaxed beach resort city located approx. 3 hours drive from the airport in Bangkok.

... had some awesome sweet corn, fried chicken, egg wontons, and sticky rice.  Yummy!  Then we headed back for a few more beers and some more pool. The next day we had a nice sleep in and grabbed breakfast at a cafe on our street.  The  lady Aoy there was super nice and cooked some mean bacon and eggs.  Then we wandered down to the beach but decided against a swim as we were leaving the following day and couldn't be bothered dealing with wet togs and towels. ...

... tried some local treats in the food court. We didn't have much time to spend with them on this day, as we had a flight to catch. As such, we said our goodbyes almost like how we started our trip - at a mall and enjoying food.

One last word, we wanted to say thank you to Allan, Jenny, and the kids for their generosity and hospitality. And a very special thank you to Mom, Dave, and Justin, who took care of us in Hong Kong and Hua Hin.

... become the norm! We also clean out the remaints of bannana trees which sometimes is a bit tedious as all the plant sticks together, and it takes about 3 barrowfulls to fully get rid of the stuff. I've already talked about my crazy machete skills, but yeah, we cut up these massive trees (I always wimp out and take the tiniest ones because, well, I'm not as hulk like as I first thought) and then chuck em over the fence and watch the elephants tuck in to thier first meal of many that ...
