Getting up at 3:00 am is not nice, but the highway to the airport was empty. Checking in with Air Berlin was a new experience, but not quite positively. All information that we had keyed in for the online check in was irrelevant, we had to give them the complete information again. Arriving in Düsseldorf was no problem, up in the air and back down again. We had a 2.5 hour layover so we were able to fill our stomachs with a decent breakfast. Air Berlin had another check ...

After some online reconnaissance we ventured into the city today for a look around. We drove to a local train station and had no trouble buying day passes from a vending machine for €6 each. ... to Europe with dolphins jumping at the bow, Island-hopping through the warm green waters of the Philippines, last year with Sisi crossing the black water near the Lofoten. And of course fishing with Hendrik north of the arctic circle in the midnight sun, when we almost lived on the sea. Yes, the sea owns my heart.

After crossing the Kattengat the train brings us to Copenhagen where Sarwat has a room ready for us. Gratefully I now sip my tea and write this note.

... in the world, divided into sections with each section representing a different country. The models aren't exact replicas of the countries, but just showcase some of the most important and significant buildings and landmarks. There's also a series of dioramas which shows the social conditions and life for different periods in Germany (specifically during world war 1 and 2). This was my favourite part of the wonderland, but Jenny got bored pretty quickly so I couldn't spend as ...
