... or have the rats run over your feet. You're not allowed shoes in the temple so they would literally be running over your feet! It turns out I'm not going to have much luck this year as didn't eat any half-eaten-rat-food or have any of the rats run over my toes! ... part of India so for are taxis and auto-rickshaws when you're trying to cross the street. There's a lot of traffic, and when you have a chance to cross you need to be aggressive. ... actually are. For the first two/three hours we had to stop every 10m!!! Breathless, exhausted, huffing and puffing, suffering the altitude!! 4 hours of mountain climbing, through beautiful forest like landscape, sharing the trek with goats, horses, donkeys and local people. Most of the locals were impressed by the fact we were hiking carrying our bags and without a guide. That's when we found out most people do hire horses to carry all the equipment and a guide to lead ...
