... and we soon had the room all dry, not to the knowledge of the other residents of our room. While the other guys took advance of the five euro pizza deal the hostel bar was offering, I had another meal of Belgium on my mind, MUSSELS!! ... a vial in a glass box with a bloody rag in it. I didn't stay and look for long because it was super uncomfortable between the priest looking at you and the queue waiting for their turn... It was a pretty yet kind of dark church quite fitting really. Then I went for a canal cruise in a small boat. They again pointed out interesting things. The cutest would have been the dog who sits in the window everyday and watches the boats ...

... the streets, but not like the day before. The atmosphere was relaxed and I noticed people going about the Christmas shopping!
When we got back to the apartment, Jaey made me one last meal before I set off on the train for Brussels. In my travel book it said one of the things you have to try food wise (lol more food) was Shrimp Croquettes. It just so happens the day before, Jaey's grandmother had given Jaey and his sister a bag of Shrimp Croquettes! ...

Today we (AJ, CS, JP, GN & OP) caught an ICE - Fast Train from Aachen to Brugge. OP was so excited to go on an ICE train in Europe - even though he has been on a Bullet Train in China!!

We changed over trains in Brussels and are pleased to announce we completed this successfully without missing the connection or being refused entry!!
