... quite a few steps (it doesn't paper to be a very disability conscious country). Along the walls were both Fort Bokar and Fort Minceta. Again this was all very busy with tourists and cruise groups. After the walls we strolled around the old town streets happening across various monuments such as the cathedral, Rectors palace and the city hall. One of my favourite find was a gap in the walls which led down to a cafe and below that some ...

... where we will spend the next two days. We don't know if news of severe flooding in Serbia and Bosnia has been heard in the US but it hasn't affected us yet except our bus driver, who lives near Belgrade, has learned that his family is safe, but his home is under water. It was a short but nice visit, Dubrovnik has really nice sights and a lot of history, but the bad thing was that it’s full of tourist so it makes the city to be quite expensive. We think it’s not made for backpackers, instead for more grown up people willing to spend a little bit more.

Oh, what concerns the conversion rate it was KN 1 = USD ...

Nothing to write about today as we did nothing. And it felt good. We had a late 9 o'clock breakfast that took till 11 am. The the pool begged us to swim and lay around so that's what we did. Lunch was a plat of frijoles. Later we walked along to a local supermarket for supples for breakfast as we are planning an early start tomorrow and want a breakfast on the go. We cleaned up planning to bus into the old ...

... memorable experience. We had met up with Dave and Kit about halfway through the walk and afterwards had worked up a bit of an appetite. Ivana had suggested a restaurant called Kamenice (Croatian for oyster) located near the main town square. We plopped down and began ordering omelettes and expressos to start but then moved on to oysters and beer afterwards. It seemed logical at the time and was around 11:30AM by the time we left. This was a good time to ...
