    Today went by really fast. We met the Shipley's this morning, the other Canadian couple from Edmonton. Their daughter was two in November and her name is Maylia. She's had a cold so we haven't seen very much of them yet, but we do all our sight seeing together. They're very nice. He's a lawyer and she stays home.     The place was beautiful; below the main building there are heaps of little gardens and nice areas to chill out, the place is really well looked after. I had been warned about theft in China but until that day had not experienced it. Where I took the photos from the highest point in the building both girls got robbed with out even knowing it.     ... There seems to be a bigger difference here between areas of the city and the people living there. People in Korea seemed generally fairly well-off, almost everybody had a massive Samsung phone and appearance was clearly very important. In Beijing there's a big difference between the rich-looking areas and the little side streets where people wonder along in their pyjamas and use public toilets because they don't have their own bathroom at home.
