This was a bottle of water and fruit bread, not Soreen, more bread like, with no butter. I don't normally look forward to apples, thank goodness we brought them as back up. The two other tourists joined us at 0700 precisely as dictated! They were two Chinese guys in all the cold weather gear like something from a North Face Photo shoot. (I later noticed ...

    ... extremely icy.
That night, we went to the famous Red Theatre to watch a Kung Fu show. The show is similar to a play but with a lot of cool king fu *see photos*.

Our second day in Beijing we took a bus to the Great Wall! We entered through the Mutianyu entrance and hiked around for about 2 hours *see photos* - there are restored parts and ancient non-restored parts, which we were also able to explore-, then we had lunch with the group we went with. ...

... weren't coming this far just to gaze, so we climbed and climbed and sweated and climbed. Exhausted but with every step, it was more amazing. At times, we were packed like sardines or fiesta at NIOSA. The only bad news was at the top, there was a souvenir hut:)

Climbing down was less physical but more dangerous especially for others as we Martys had to stop every third step for photo ops. When we neared the base, we found a ...
