Some people might have been awe struck by the water fountain show in Xian whereas others might be captivated by the revolutionary museum in Yan'an or the massive sand dunes in Turpan. It has definitely been hard to narrow down my list but here are my top ten as to what I personally really enjoyed and include both cultural and natural places.

... It was the same plane that I had been on to Chengdu so that was nice but we still had to disembark for twenty minutes so they could clean the plane. Of course we were late leaving Urumqi so that put us late leaving for this flight. I had the address to my hotel written out in Chinese. After our morning routine, breakfast, exercises and briefing, we head out to see a dance performance at in the Laysan tribe at Lang Tek Sang Cai. After lunch we visit the 600 year old Buddhist temple Cen Yuen Tze in Tang Village. We stay in this old city for dinner and see some sellers making peanut candy. Tonight we sleep in Tong Ren.
