... English Father Christmas! On Christmas Eve Ms Liang made a special Christmas dinner, a mixture of Chinese food and burgers and sausages! I enjoyed it :-) Then we opened our presents after dinner, which was really nice. We all received a pair of gloves! Serena is only usually allowed to watch 'TV' (Ipad/laptop/DVD) on the weekends, but as it was Christmas, she was allowed to watch something. I had downloaded Home Alone 2, so ...

There was also an au pair there from a different agency, with her host family. One of the former au pairs who came along to the party had been the au pair with that family.... but they had since changed agency, hence why this other au pair none of us recognised was there! I thought it was a bit strange they all still got invited ...

... for this favour, we have to sing a Christmas song for our host families and children. Total cringe. We should also be grateful it's only a song we have to sing and not a nativity scene we have to act out. For God's sake. Because they couldn't just have a party where people turn up, chat, eat food, could they? There has to be a point to everything. There has to be a program, we have to play games with the kids, we have to sing a song just au pairs, and then 1 with our host children. ...
