The weather seems to be on the improve, days are getting a little warmer, although the change from one day being so beautiful and warm to the very next day being 20 – 30 degrees (Fahrenheit) colder still amazes us.

... the beginning of the rally. The dinner consisted of Gumbo w/rice, potato salad, and cookies. It was very good and filling. After dinner, some people played games while some of us just sat and talked with folks we haven't seen in months. The theme is Nautical and on Saturday there will be a costume contest. Not sure how many will be participating.
Tomorrow starts with lunch out then whatever until dinner.

I had seen that there was free camping but it turned out only to be for people in tents along the trails. I remember the sinking feeling that, perhaps, I was about to be caught in a Kafkaesque cycle of agents and tickets.
