      I escaped the cold only to find the rain! Kanazawa was well known by all but me, it seemed, for being one of the wettest places in japan.       There is a whole accommodation complex at Kamikochi. As it was getting a little dark, we couldn't see as well. Luckily, we brought the overnight bag as it would have been impossible to drag our main luggage to the ryokan. All the hotels appear to be along a strip by the river.       ... by a very sweet treat made it ok. Very traditional. After we continue our walk through the gardens we then head to the Geisha district where we visit a Geisha house. Amazing features throughout the house but I wasn't allowed to take my big camera so have to wait for pics. Next stop lunch and what we have been waiting for a Japanese meal.
