      Day 511 In the morning we packed our bags then went for breakfast. We had the American breakfast at a different hotel. Eggs, Sausage, toast, jam. Again I reiterate a point I made - I think in an Indonesian entry - it is hard to get good western food here. Eggs were fine, little under cooked. We went with the sausage over bacon because the bacon here is made of beef not pork. The sausages were plain old chicken hot dogs, not very good ones either. It's sad when the ...

      ... so off I headed across the lake on a bamboo raft with a little Thai lady "driving" and guiding this cave tour, equipped with lantern and some simple offerings to place on the little Buddha shrine outside the cave entrance. We docked the raft, climbed up a steep boulder path to the cave entrance, bowed to the shrine - I guess for our safety or thanks for the cave or something - and headed down in.
