... There were literally TONs of
musical instruments, the coffins of 21 young women, and utensils which included
bronze jars that held 700 liters of wine each! The most impressive instruments
were the bronze chime bells. They were very well designed and represent
perfectly pitched C scale and had instructions for their play engraved right on

... under control! In the afternoon we met up with Chris, Jin's cousin, whom many of you met while he was getting a master's degree in the US. He's now back in China and doing an internship in Wuhan at China Construction Bank.

Our stay in Wuhan was brief but it was great to see Chris, tour the campus of Wuhan University, and look around another major Chinese city!

... our gate was at the farthest way along. We stopped in one of the restaurants for coffee, and tried their WiFi but couldn't connect to our email, but somehow Sarah managed to get us on FaceTime, which was a pleasant surprise.
David had told us the night before, that a commercial ship had got stuck somewhere along the Yangtze, so instead of getting on the boat in Wuhan, which is the normal process, we were going to have to be bused another three hours along ...
