    Booked a 5 night package to the seaside resort of Buzios - they call this the St Tropez of Brazil - and its claim to fame is that it changed from a simple fishing village to now after Brigitte Bardot came here with her then Brazilian boyfriend. Granted it is a pretty place lined with cobble stoned streets which are busy with tourists and sand buggy’s all day long. Life size statues are scattered throughout the town and along the broadwalk.

    ... Carnival is non stop and pretty tiring! The street party was great too and totally different from the formal parade. We met a local girl through someone in the hostel and she assured us it would be a good one to go to as only the hard core Carnival supporters attend these early ones. There were lots of families and older people too as opposed to the late night ones which get a bit rowdy! It´s a kind of ´anything ...
