    ... had warmed up, we set off on our bicycles and went along the Slovakian side of the river. Thank goodness for the EU and no border controls! We followed the river down through the gorge and got to watch the rafters. Having been down on a raft and then cycled, we feel we can “tick” the Dunajec Gorge.

    ... 14th century as a Hungarian border stronghold, it was Hungarian owned until after WWII. Czorsztyn Castle across the lake was the Polish equivalent.
