Napoli is the gateway to Capri, Vesuvius and Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast including Positano. There are plenty of gateways to choose from. We have been to some and unlikely to visit others. We have decided to choose a particular gateway today; the gateway to Herculaneum. Not so much of a gateway, more like a hole in a fence!!

We decided to travel with italo trains this time instead of trentitalia. Italo trains are much better, leather seats even in standard economy class. There is more leg room and the class of people travelling seems to be better. Surprisingly the cost was the same, go figure.

... a great meal wand night was had. If you ever get to Naples then I can recommend La Tradizione!! Off to the town square to have Gelato to finish the night off - everyone is getting a little weary and home we head. I can tell you having watched the driving from within the car and then on the road to all our destinations i am still none the wiser on what the road rules are in Italy. Cars motorbikes and pedestrians interact at will with no order and all seem to come out fine the other ...
