... me tickets for less time than I need. I couldn't do anything until 3.45 and we would still be on the boat then, so we had no option but to put the ticket in the car and make our way to the Prince of Wales Pier. Wonder what they do if you overstay your paid time? It was quite a walk to the Pier but it was along a narrow semi pedestrian street, that had plenty of shops. When I say semi pedestrian, I mean that some cars with permits can access the street. ...

... was no way to get past it so they all had to wait for it to turn off. This was on the main north south road but it was still only one lane each way. There are not many traffic lights on these main roads, but they have roundabouts everywhere. The big double ones at major crossroads are a bit of a nightmare. It was at one of these that we both missed the turnoff to Port Isaac. We were heading north to Bude, but the map showed minor roads heading in the direction of Port Isaac so ...

We went to a flea market in the town hall and bought ...

... the ones we get from the Upwey Bakery at home. We drove back via Redruth as Edie wanted to visit the graveyard of a church at Gwennap. This proved difficult to find as our map was not detailed enough and there were many unnamed lanes shooting off the side of the road we expected to turn off. Eventually with some help, we had to backtrack a few miles to find it. It was old and the graveyard was huge, some maintained but a lot overgrown. Edie was lucky enough to talk to a man ...

Today was a rest day. We slept in. I arose about 8.00 and did some planning for next week. Washing got done and the dishes got washed. There is a dish washer here but it's easier just to wash the dishes as we use them. Edie showered and washed her hair and announced that she was ready to go. Go where? That was the question. From our previous experience of Sundays there was not a lot to be done. So we decided that Penzance was a large town so there should be something open. We had ...
