We woke up and headed to the train station. We spent the morning and had lunch on the train on our way to our second homestay in Arida, Wakayama. Arida is a small farming town that doesn't make it into some of the tour books. We arrived around 2pm and were taken directly to an elementary school in the area. The kids were adorable and the school was much more recognizable to me as the type of environment that I know a school to be. ...

... 5 huge figures all decorated in gold, 2 big fierce-looking dark figures standing on two smaller fierce creatures - hard to say who the baddies were. Paintings on the pillars and walls, obviously of famous teachers and pupils. Again this was a very holy place so no shoes, no photos and mega respect shown. Shortly, a young monk appeared to lead us to our room and give us an orientation. He was quite paced and thorough in explaining things in his limited English as we walked thru the tastefully decorated halls.
"Buddhist ceremony at six in morning, here," he pointed. "Dinner at six," he continued. "Breakfast at six," he added, pointing the way, again.

... ve been getting at interviews anyway. I think half of the interview is always centred about Nova, which I have no problem about :o) So yes, I am hoping to start full-time work and change to a working visa, and contribute to the economy of Japanese society starting April. Last few days...
... win again using the coins at another game. Needless to say, we didn't win again. We ended up back at the hotel early that afternoon to check-in... and after resting, we set out to see the aquarium. The aquarium was located at the harbour area of Osaka... so we'd be able to do the whole 2 birds thing.
