      ... arrived at Kyoto station with the minimum of fuss.

      I found my way out to the taxi stand, but not before stopping at one of the MANY shops in the station and buying my first bento lunch and a bottled tea. (They were delicious by the way.)

      Out and about by 9:45. Walked two blocks to catch a tram to Arashiyama. What a great place. We visited our favourite temple so far known as Tenryu-ji.
