... desserts in the grocery store. Sean and I have gotten some sort of strange mousse, a tira misu, and a cheesecake all in relatively small containers and they were decorated and fun looking. They seem to like waffles a lot and so there are small, thick waffles on breakfast menus and waffles you can buy in the store ready-to-eat, both of which are pretty much the same and have sugar baked in. You can also get waffle ice-creams (waffles with ...
Chiyoda, Kanto, Japan seanandkat... fresh and delicious, especially the octopus balls! No matter where we were - a coffee shop, stand-up sushi counter or a nice restaurant, the service was always outstanding. They truly are lovely people and are very endearing.

After the first couple of days, we managed to figure out the subway system. It was very frustrating at first, as we couldn't figure out why the barriers kept refusing to let us exit. We later realised that the tickets only allow ...
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan butterfills... I took off my shoes (sneakily, I'm pretty sure that would have been rude, but me feet were killing me) and we sat and sipped our drinks and nibbled our food and read one of the many books they had to offer. The one we were looking at was about flower arrangments, there were some very amazing ones, and the book was in English. There were murals on the walls and cool automatic glass doors, the restaurant looked very cool. We still had about fourty minutes until the cafe opened when we ...
Tokyo, Japan strawberilolita... them twice, and there was still screams when we left them. We went into the 3d "honey I shrunk the audience" show, which we realised we had actually jumped the queue for. There were some people at the doorway talking, and there did not appear to be a queue, so we just walked to the door and were ushered in. When we looked out at the (now closed) doorway though, there was a long line of unhappy looking ...
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan apat... rattling and then opening and popping another pill from while she clicked the mouse in Photoshop incessantly. She never stops moving. Of course all this time, to add to the hilarity and madness, there's these two young British guys who have been staying at this hostel at the same time as her for weeks. Both of these guys are a riot in themselves and you can't help but laugh and be repulsed at their excessive use of the word, '****'. When they're not ...
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan jkirby... poschodie.
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan mimiama... it didn't take long for us to get a little rowdy. Sensing we would loose all our money if we stayed longer, we got up and dragged ourselves to the train station. Eating along the way, we picked up everything from train station Belgium waffles (very good) to McDonalds french fries. By the time we reached Komeoka the party had left us and we all decided to settle in for bed and take full advantage of the free day ahead of us. Today I learned to what degree people can come ...
Kansai Area, Japan wdwatts... gadget junkie) picked up some new toys and gadgets for his blue-tooth stuff. The girls were fading... so Jason and I decided to go out and have a drink. We didn't know where to go. At first we thought about dropping in on "The Glass Hopper" (no that is not a misspelling), but it seemed to swanky. Then we thought about the HUB (English pub) but it seemed to American. Then we found a dart bar on the third floor of a small building... and it was JUST RIGHT! It was a tiny ...
Tokyo, Japan nyguy79... out a Shinto temple and engage in a traditional Japanese bath. Unfortunately Chicago weather delayed my flight over an hour, and the four hour window I had didn't seem adequate. No worries. I have a seven hour layover here on the way back. I'll bare my privates in Japan yet... Wedding Gift Idea #1: a Squat Toilet For those of you that have been chez Phillary lately, you know they've ...
Tokyo, Japan chingiz... Shibata fixed Taku and me some breakfast. The breakfast consisted of yogurt, bread, and sausage links with hotdogs. The amusement park was very fun and entertaining. I cannot remember the amount of roller coasters we rode, but it was enough to know that I was on one every few minutes of the day until it was water park time. One great attraction that was in the amusement park was the new ghost house with real actors in it. That was probably ...
