      ... it cleared up and was beautiful. Go figure.

      Dan and Danny came down for a couple of days, and we always have fun with them because they're so full of life. So we rode bikes, hiked on the beach, dug in the sand, flew kites, sat around a huge campfire, etc. Dan's trailer is perfect for them and now that all the equipment was replaced and is new, it works great.

      The Surf Shop was in full swing upon arrival less than an after after opening. While waiting our turn, I struck up a conversation with a family who were on vacation from Tacoma. Asking if they would transport our rental board in their truck turned out better than expected. Not only did they take our board, they helped us clean and transport our dirty wetsuit and and back!       We stopped in Long Beach twice that day. We tried to go to some place recommended in a guidebook for lunch but for some reason, it was going to work out. So we ended up at a place called the crab pot where I had oysters. Ah, we had also stopped at a place near Oysterville on the bay side that had a public oyster picking place and people could get oysters ...

      ... outside and I've seen daffodils and trees budding out...Yikes. Not one of my finest moments.

      One of my long stops was at Canon Beach, which was super beautiful. It's this huge open beach with these enormous rock formations sticking out. Then there's this really cool lighthouse waaaaaay out on a rock in the middle of the ocean that I LOVED!
