... an historic house, the museum, the float festival display and a major Shinto temple amongst other things. There was a private ceremony going on inside the Temple and I was the only one there to see it. Rod stayed outside as he is "shrined and templed out", but I did finally get him to do the cleansing ritual. We Walked all day so got pretty foot sore and weary.

... Chirihama Driveway - a wide sand beach that vehicles can travel on. Drove for about a kilometre on the beach, took a bathroom break, then turned around. 2 more hours to a Family Mart. Poor Shunichi had a pretty lonely drive since everyone else in the bus fell asleep. Stopped to buy some food for dinner. We bought some cookies and cake for Kiyoko. The weather was really nice, and since we brought our rice ball lunch, we leisurely had our lunch after watching the dolphin show. Mostly local tourists. Very few foreigners, if any. THis is a local tourist spot, a place where everything is conducted in Japanese. Being a local resident, we are supposed to visit local attractions as well, right?

... views of the ocean, sea cliffs and wonderful towns. Everywhere you look, there are gardens being planted, tilled, tended and manicured. The Noto citizens take such incredible pride in the gardens that the area was recently designated a Japanese National Heritage area for its gardening and agriculture. We enjoy looking at everything, as well as eating the wonderful produce.
