Some even starting calling me "monkey girl", referring to the way I clamber up the side of my container to get to the roof by dangling off a nearby canopy and swinging myself up while pushing off the side with my feet. Sadly, my container does not have a built in ladder on the side. But hey, I'm an acrobat, right?

Takayama is a small city in The Japanese alps. Yes they are called alps. The main street dates from The 17th century, and you can feel here that old japan atmosphere one can see in some movies. Small dark Woden houses and local produce shops and as well private houses fill these streets. Not to mention a lot of tourists of course. We are deep in the Noto area at the Hijakuraku-so hotel. We chose one of the older Japanese rooms and it is our most beautiful suite yet.
