It's another rainy day here in the Gifu region. We are now on the bus headed for Shirakawago, a farming village just 50 mins away. We can't wait to see the old thatched roof farmhouses that have been preserved in this area. These houses are put together without using a single nail and their triangular shape is suppose to resemble buddha hands that are pressed together in prayer.
