Boxing Day we were up early to fly to Alice Springs for a trip to Uluru (Ayers Rock). We arrived in Alice Springs to 37 degree heat. After checking in to our hostel we set off to explore the town. We walked down to the flying doctors base which was unfortunately closed so we abandoned any further walking and went back to the air-conditioned hostel.
