Tobago Forest Reserve, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago paulatluxury... before and had never really seen the point. Here was a pretty good place to start though and I really enjoyed finding all these exotic fish and chasing after them. I was a little dissappoointed that i didn't see any (non-aggressive) sharks, moray eels or octupii but that just leaves them for another time. The coral was beautiful and it felt like another adventure. Another day we went to some waterfalls, led by a grumpy guide who left us there. The falls were very nice and ...
Crown Point, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago phil.aldridgeTobago celebrates Easter by holding their famous (to them) goat races. When we got there i was worried to hear that the goats had jockeys. Fortunately for the goats though, the comical image of a full grown man on a goat was left to my imagination as the jockeys had to run alongside their goat to steer them and spur them on. It was all very fun after a few beers and the comentators ...

We were looking for some limes for drinks and discovered that not only do they not have limes as we know them, but "lime" more often means "party." When you hear liming, or lime it is always referring to a party or get together and not a fruit. As for double double...in Canada to patrons of Tim Horton's it means one thing...in Trini and Tobago it means ...

Instead, we met Leroy, a customs officer/taxi driver/hotelier who offered us a place to stay by the airport for okay money. He also told us Big Mitch had died from cancer not too long ago, which was sad news. Got to the apartments and Leroy charged us for the cab ride, which was a suprise to everybody except Leroy. Next day we head out to look around Crown Point, the main tourist area and commercial centre of the island ...
Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago chrisandtess"Wamnow, dreds?" - Trinidadian equivalent for 'What´s up, guys?' or 'How´s it hanging, dudes?' or 'What significant happenstances have in recent times occurred, my fellow friends and peers?' Well, as for this dred - waaay back in mid-May - I was invited by Dexter´s nice mom, Sandra, to spend a week with her family (minus Dexter) in Tobago. And being a free-loader, I of course accepted. We would be travelling to Tobago and staying aboard a 40-foot yacht ...
