Booked some months in advance and got a 23Stg rate. Rooms are new only 7 months old (May 2013) has free parking a great buffet breakfast and all the usual conveniences. Close by is a small general store, the waterfront is across the road with loads of eating places.

    ... all!

And everybody here who lives rurally, has a problem with rabbits eating their garden produce, whether it's veges or flowers - they eat the lot!! They try their best with wire-netting, but the pesky things usually find a way in. No wonder they like the idea of gorse - no rabbits bother with that!

Each day I have two hours off (yeah right!!!) from 2-4pm - it's been recommended I get right off the property so I don't get too claustrophobic being in one place. But actually, J does get out a bit - sometimes I need to take her (we're planning a trip to Woodbridge next week - a lovely riverside place full of boats) and sometimes she goes with friends.

Anyway, I've been walking on my time off and now realise that's what English people mostly do when they go on ...

... to the other side of the quay and found the launderette, While the clothes were drying, we found a nice little pub. Steve is tasting as many beers, ales and lagers as he can, whilst I am trying the ciders. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.
We need to work a little bit in what is left of the day, and soon enough it will be time to get ready for work ...

So here it is! For anyone that is interested this is the blog I will use (when I'm not too busy laying in the sun!) to keep everyone updated on my travels. I've finally come to a decision on the route allowing of course for the likelihood of plans changing at the last minute as all the blog's I've read tell me not to overplan it!  But the route will be something like this..... Fly into Bangkok, possibly spend a night or two partying it up on Koh San Road and then head North ...
