Booked some months in advance and got a 23Stg rate. Rooms are new only 7 months old (May 2013) has free parking a great buffet breakfast and all the usual conveniences. Close by is a small general store, the waterfront is across the road with loads of eating places.

Still not feeling good so first stop boots chemist for some cold remedies after which we headed for Freeport. There we met dad and Rena and enjoyed the next few hours talking, laughing and having lunch. Love spending time with them, they are such good company. ... to the other side of the quay and found the launderette, While the clothes were drying, we found a nice little pub. Steve is tasting as many beers, ales and lagers as he can, whilst I am trying the ciders. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.
We need to work a little bit in what is left of the day, and soon enough it will be time to get ready for work ...
So here it is! For anyone that is interested this is the blog I will use (when I'm not too busy laying in the sun!) to keep everyone updated on my travels. I've finally come to a decision on the route allowing of course for the likelihood of plans changing at the last minute as all the blog's I've read tell me not to overplan it! But the route will be something like this..... Fly into Bangkok, possibly spend a night or two partying it up on Koh San Road and then head North ...
... the stackers. All of us had some input as how it should be done, but were soon put in our place by David and Rick who proceded to load the van. Luckily David was able to park the van closer to the house after the first run which made it a lot easier. We all did our bit and by 2pm all was done. The weather was with us as well, sunny most of the day and only a few drops of rain at the end of it all.

By then it was time to catch my trains back to my hotel. Had takeaway for dinner - watched tv and crashed - very pleased about what I had found and what tomorrow may bring.
Meanwhile, Leon spent today walking around the colleges of Cambridge then went punting on the Cam river in the evening after the rain stopped before having an early night, or at least one staying out of the pub.
