... go by so slowly (a good thing) but at the end it is at warp speed?! We needed to head back down to change for dinner - yes, time to eat one more time.

Our final dinner was back in Parrot Cay, where we started on the first night. The serving staff on the last night of the cruise are always dressed in vests bearing the flags of many countries and the theme is "'Til We Meet Again". Dinner was good and as always the boys ordered multiple appetizers and entrees ...

... on a glorious sunny day, and by the time we get there we have seen 13 black bear, the grizzly and a moose. We meet only two eastbound freights on this segment, and make good time, arriving early at 6: 30 pm then off to dinner and our hotel.

Day 5: We have a private breakfast buffet at the hotel before a shuttle to the station at 7:00 am to board and depart on time at 8:00 am. There is an even bigger crowd today, with the single coach virtually full. This causes a ...

Honestly, I don't know why the sunsets so early here. It was already sunset around 6 pm or so, and it was pretty much dark by 7:30 or so. This really is not very cool. People are starting to go to bed, and I just got done with dinner. The silhouettes ...

We hoped to have sunshine today but it was not to be! After packing a lunch, we headed for the Tlell River and the entrance to the path leading to the wreck of a log barge, the Pesuta. Just as we parked, the rain started! Oh well, the first part of the trail was through forest so we embarked anyway! This hike is 10 km, partly over hilly forest terrain, partly along river edge, partly across sand beach at low tide. We knew that it was important to work ...

Last night we settled into the Crystal Cabin in Tlell and will stay for the next few days. The Crystal Cabin is centrally located on the island and offers a full efficiency apartment for a more reasonable price than anything else we have found on the island. Although it has 'lots' of stairs, it is very comfortable. It was fun to poke around the yard as the owner is a jeweler and rock hound and has ...
