    ... terrible. All I wanted to do was be home. Many of the flights were cancelled and it was a very stressful time - nothing like the movies where in an emergency they just seem to hop on a plane! Dais was a great help in finding my flights and getting my tickets. In the end I grabbed a flight to Sydney and from there I had a 14 hour flight to Dubai (where I landed at 5am in a 40 degree heat - I was less than impressed wrapped to the brim in layers) then a 7 hour ...

    Very , good breakfast at Elva Lodge and lovely, helpful staff--the guy on reception was a Brazilian and the waiters mostly Polish. Left at 9.15 and found the track quickly;met some Dutch cyclists going the other way.
