Ko Lanta- Hippy island

A travel blog entry by jake.robinson on May 09, 2015

... about 3 hours driving around so it works out super cheap. This scooter was alot more powrful than the last one but Ko Lanta is very very hilly. Also don't be fooled, like we were, and believe that the road in Ko Lanta goes all the way round the south if the island like the maps suggests. Because it definitely doesn't. As we were driving to the south we also made the mistake of saying thank god we don't have to come up these super steep hils that we ...

... I found a space with my legs dangling over the edge being sprayed with the wake and one arm wrapped around a stair case to stop me falling in.  The kids were plugged in inside.   No hope for them! We could of ...

... sun of course.

After catching a few rays, we headed back to the Koh Lanta. The boat ride back was a lot smoother, so calm that we even caught 40 winks. Once we got back to our little bungalow, we had showers, applied some after sun and went out for our last dinner on the island. Our last supper was on the beach, very romantic. We both went for the chicken hot plate. It was seriously hot, so hot it was on fire! We headed back to pack for our next island. Phi phi here we ...

Enjoying The Island Life Again

... resort hate all the day tourers coming to their island and wreaking the peace that they'd normally have. The water was beautiful, blue and insanely clear with the beach being white and squeaky. I took time to enjoy the water and beach, snorkelling wasn't that great unfortunately but I didn't have to look very far for fish as small schools of the rainbow fish and barracuda looking fish were swimming literally a metre from the beach. Soon enough it was time to head back to the ...
