... and commitment, and what it means to keep one's word. Elizabeth has an amazing sense of humour and she shows it everyday. We often photobomb the ubiquitous Chinese tourists who are constantly posing or jumping in ridiculous photos. We laughed for ages as Chinese girls posed for selfies in front of the altar in St. Peter's Basilica, putting on sunglasses, pouting and posing with peace signs. Elizabeth is a dreamer, often with her head five ...

... We had just finished watching Gladiator on the bus so I was quite excited to see it in real life. It was truly amazing!! Such a huge part of history!! The size of it alone was pretty unbelievable. All the ruins underneath the city are visible in places too which is quite cool. You can actually see where Cesar would have walked. The original foundations are about 6 meters below the current ground level. The next morning we set off nice ...

The famous tower that leans! This was only a very quick stop in Pisa to but compete tourists :) we couldn't afford to stay much more than an hour anyway because it costs an insane €200 an hour to park in the car park around the corner from the tower. It was pretty cool to see it but it would not be something that I feel I would ever need to see again. We have been so lucky with the weather it has been absolutely ...

I was really looking forward to Florence because mum had always talked about what a beautiful city it was. It was quite different to what I was expecting but I still really enjoyed it. Beautiful buildings and cathedrals. We went to the famous palace where Armani now lives (it was once a palace for some important people in Florence haha) Not the most beautiful of palaces I've seen but still very grandiose all the same. It ...

The home of Romeo and Juliet :) Of course it isn't a true story but the have definitely made the most of it all. One of the biggest tourist attractions is the balcony that Juliet stands on. They also have a statue of Juliet there and it is said to be good luck if you rub her right breast... So of course I had to do it. Although we were only there for a few hours it seemed like a beautiful place. Lots of little alleyways to explore and huge markets with delicious fruit cups!!! Yum ...
