... I was freezing, felt a bit sick and my neck was buggered from being thrown all over the place, but all in all it was a wicked day and Dan loved it. We would definitely recommend this to anyone going to LA.

We had booked into a nearby motel for the night, and hopefully what would be a good nights sleep after that hostel! A Chinese takeaway menu was sitting conveniently on the desk in our room and just calling out to us. I couldn't be bothered to make anything and felt ...

... mall and listened to a lady busking in the street. She sang beautifully and added to the overall feel of our visit to Santa Monica. It could have been a whole different story if I was busking in the street!! Totally different experience I would think!

... I rush to the back of the church and find Black Mama and Soul Sista.

“That’s the best performance ever!” I exclaim. “Your voices are unbelievable! Black Mama, your son truly sings like an angel. I was speechless at the end of his performance, and my hands ache from clapping so much.”

“Thank you, Liz. We really appreciate you coming today.”

      Arrival in LA

A travel blog entry by trevorrose on Aug 09, 2014

... at home! We checked to very comfy rooms and had a quick freshen up before finding a drink and some dinner - we were all flagging big time by now after so many hours without sleep - and we were back in our rooms and lights out at 8.30pm. It had been a long trip, but the Air New Zealand flights were great and we made the most of the stopover in Auckland, so despite feeling pretty pooped we are ready to start the Road ...
