Up ready for breakfast, lovely sunrise from our balcony. Another cruise ship in to replace yesterday's one. Checked out, wheeled bags along to train station, bit of effort required for so early in the morning. ... place ever in Venice was certainly worth it. I took more pictures of the gelato, cannolis, pizza, and wine than of anything else in Venice. Pictures of Jason and me with nude statues were a close second. We are so immature.

As lovely as the main streets were, with the hundreds of stalls selling ornate Venetian masks and delicate lace scarves (and the odd stall full of total **** of course), we made sure we wandered down as many quiet streets as we could to get a feel for the less tourist driven side of Venice. We came across a tiny bar heaving with local people, all drinking wine sitting on the edge of the canal and even on the boats themselves. ...
