... Today we're catching the brand spanking new Edinburgh trams to the airport! What an experience, they are so fast and flash and run almost door-to-door for us. Kev is convinced that the tram bells sounds like the McDonalds beeping timers, and talks about how hungry he is the whole way!

After a 4.5 hours, we have survived the Ryan Air flight and land in the volcanic island that is Lanzarote. It is far from pretty, but an incredible landscape to look over, almost lunar like. ...

Woken up by the extremely loud sounds of construction right outside of our window. You'd think they'd postpone that for a week or at least a few days considering the hotel is at capacity and no one wants to listen to that ALL DAY LONG! ... and then I didn't remember "verde" meant green so I kept pushing the wrong button. All those years of Spanish and didn't even remember my colors. Whoops.
Enjoyed a fine array of salami, cheese and crackers while watching the iron man parade process through the hotel. The parade was led by this all female drum line and they were thee most lively group! It was a very very cool experience to see. Just kickin' it all day tomorrow, really hoping the sun decides to come ...
