... stranden for at mødes med vores kollegaer. Vi var ikke mere end lige nået ned på stranden inden festlighederne begyndte. Alle restauranterne og barerne var udsmykket og stemningen helt i top. I starten følte vi os lidt malplaceret i vores kostume, da alle kiggede efter os og ville tage billeder med os. Men som aftenen skred frem og flere og flere udklædte kom til gjorde det bare stemningen og oplevelsen endnu bedre. Vi var begge ganske imponeret ...
A hidden paradise called Boracay!
... We opted for king prawns and 2 small crae's on our first outing there, cooked in a combination of chilli sauce, and coconut milk. Delicious! We may have gone back there again!
Bargains: Definitely a place to spot a bargain, but like any Asian offerings, you seem to get what you pay for. We opted for some DVD's on the beach, "real" Ray Bans, the girls found some accessories to wear, and I found a $4 haircut! (Kel, you wouldn't have approved!)

From Boracay to Kalibo
after three days of cloudy skies and some rain, the sun is back and the weekend started with the festival Ati-Atikan in honor of St. Nino, with processions of villagers who paint their faces and dance accompanied by drums and other strange instruments I think that resemble the xylophone

Being "tourists" in Boracay and Manila
... The final leg back to the shore involved a lot of jockeying for position on the shore, as the craft are very wide, but we backed up almost to the sand, and managed to disembark more-or-less dry.

White Sandy Beach
... parallel to the main White Beach but gets consistent winds for kiteboarding. They are fun to watch but none of us tried it out. You need a lot of core, arms and leg muscles as well as good balance and coordination to do this sport...we are so not there. Most of the people were fairly young.
