... at a class on Saturday. There was a stall selling all types of brushes and I was able to find a small flexible bottle brush, which I've had trouble finding in Canada. Numerous stalls sold fruits and vegetables, mostly local, and I saw some interesting displays of mushrooms, like Chanterelles. The flower stalls really caught my eye, as they had colourful displays with reasonable prices. I bought a single rose for our room for 1 Euro.

... morning we head to Bad Mergentheim and uncle Gerhardt's place. It was wonderful to see him again, especially since he had been so ill last year, time has indeed healed his body, he was misic to our ears - blowing his horn again!
Traditional lunch - weisswurst mit kartoffel.

Too early for Octoberfest, but beer nonetheless!
... the chilly weather, it was such a
lovely weekend. On Sunday, I was sad to leave, knowing I was parting
my parents and aunt and uncle for the last time until mid-November
when I will return to the States. I made a promise to the German
group that I would return in October to share a bit of Octoberfest
festivities with them. A promise I intend to keep!

Back home...
... ganzen nächsten Tag noch beachend und albernd im Freibad zu verbringen. Manche blieben sogar noch eine zweite Nacht. So hatten wir also genug Zeit, mit fast jedem ein paar Worte zu wechseln und sogar schon ein paar Reisestories auszupacken. Danke nochmal an alle, die dabei waren und natürlich besonders an Franz und Lea, die das Ganze für uns organisiert haben! Ein Sprung ins kalte Wasser, aber wohl die erfrischendste Art, nach solch einer langen Auszeit zu ...
