Well today is our last vacation day before we travel all day tomorrow, to get home. We took the train to the airport to check all our details and check in to be prepared. Then we travelled back by train into town... after a few detours... as we took the wrong train back..but with a few tram rides we were back at the hotel and grateful our day ticket covers trams, trains and busses!!! Pretty easy to get to and we ...

So, having arrived at the hotel at about 10:00pm it was our immediate task to find FOOD but not any food - vegetarian food of a calibre acceptable to veteran vegetarians. Some folk book accommodation based upon proximity to attractions, transport or places of historical ...

Thurs 2/1/14After breakfast I met Luca, 18, and Cecille, 20 (whom I vaguely remembered from their visit to our farm in 2000), and we all had a chat on Skype to my folks at home. Both Luzia and Hans had the day off and had kindly planned to take me on a day’s tour of central Switzerland. First stop was Lucern, where we wandered around the city centre admiring an old church and the famous wooden bridge, most of which was tragically burnt down in the ‘90s ...
