Off on the next leg from Zurich to Milan. Some pleasant Americans next to me, we shared the mirth of being English speaking and the distain of French speakers. I have put the novel aside today as the train goes thru Lugano and como so should be interesting trip. I hold that it's better to travel than to arrive, stepping off a plane in another time zone or hemisphere doesn't give yr brain the chance to reset to 'holiday' so ...

- Woke to drizzle at 0600 alarm.
- Great snoozing weather, slept in till 0700, whoops, no time for cuppa in bed, scoot up 2 flights to brecky.

Woke up to sun but a much cooler temperature than we have been having...my tootsies were freezing...only problem is that when we left the UK I hadn't thought about coming back at the end of September when it would probably be cooler, and I only took my flip flops!...
