Epic transit is epic and makes brain go sleep.....

When we got off the plane to collect our luggage it took its sweet ass time coming out, which is always concerning when you've had several connecting flights, but after a half hour (not even exaggerating there) of waiting we both had our bags and were on our Parisian way. First up a train ride to something something Norte dame (I'm tired and the French words escape me) and then the purchase of a 5 day pass and a further train ride to ...

Day 15 Paris

... the bus at 645 was hard. It was cold, dark and windy. Eventually the busses arrived and our luggage was packed and we were off to our first stop, the cliffs of Dover. This was 2.5 hrs away from our hotel. We still hadn't eaten so when we hopped on the ferry we rushed to the food court and ate a big English Brekky. Jardin de Plantes (botanical gardens) / Pont de l'Archeveche (with all the lovers padlocks) Notre-Dame / Louvre / Passages / Champs-Élysées / Arc de Triomphe / and then drinks with friends in 9th arrondissement! Plus we had a go using the Velib - city bikes like in Melbourne but that actually kind of work! Phew. We were exhausted after that ...

We took the Metro to Notre Dame, the 3rd largest cathedral in ...

First day in Paris

... It was really beautiful inside.
Took the fanicular to reach the Cathedral, but walked down with the stairs.
About 100 of them. Then did some shopping.

Around the corner from the Cathedral was Mon Matre This is where the
artists can be found doing their paintings. Beautiful but unaffordable.
