Johnstown was cute. It had all these shops and random museums, like the museum of hardware and the museum of maple syrup. Supposedly there's quite a Mennonite community there. Also a broom store, antiques, pottery and other randoms. There were these little chocolate balls at the bakery called rum balls, I had to try one. Anyway, again...I'll put pics up when I get home, they are the best.
Johnstown, Ontario, Canada alifebeinglivedSo, in the words of MJ, "this is it"... my final week in Belleville. Definately bitter sweet. Lately I have really been thinking about the things I will miss most about Canada, and my friends and family keep popping up, along with the obvious things like clean hair, sanitary washrooms, hot showers, and new episodes of Project Runway..(not to mention Denise will be missing the release of "New Moon" and I the release of "Where the Wild ...
Belleville, Ontario, Canada britt.bennettJust here to reunite with the BF before heading down to Toronto and Niagara for the weekend! Absolutely nothing happening here.. I've only been here for a grand total of 3 days and it's already boring! :P Just grabbed him after his exam finished and walked to the mall and back, transferred everything from my pack back into evil duffel bag from hell [how i didn't miss thee..] and went to one of our friend's houses to crash for the night.
TORONTO TOMORROW WOO! :)

... felt like it was in the middle of nowhere. I reluctantly took a taxi to near the bf's school, where I waited inside of a Tim Hortons for an hour with an ice cap [mmm.. ice caps..] until he appeared.
From that point until I left for Ottawa on Saturday morning, my entire stay in Belleville was marred with confusion. First, no one told me I strictly forbidden from entering his dorm, so I had to remain downstairs while forcing poor ...
we spent three days at Consecon, just south of Trenton, we rode our bike thru the back country lanes, watched beautiful sunsets and Brent went to the airshow in Trenton, Jo stayed home and did her nails!!! Or something.
This is a lovely part of the country.
... called it to hit the road again and get to Pete’s.
The final leg was through Toronto (HUGE) and cities called Hamilton, Grimsby and Whitby. Until we found an Irish Pub for lunch (3pm). Then one more hour to meet Pete at Belleville. He chauffeured us to his house.
What a location! Lovely long lawn, pool, gardens surrounded by trees. A firepit at the base where we sat last night watching the fireflies. Very cool and must be gorgeous in the ...
... Picton, quite nice and welcoming. We started our fireplace early and cooked a delicious dinner of pasta with herbs...and not a minute too soon as it started raining lightly while we had our "pudding", then starting strongly and not stopping until 4 a.m. at least. The tent resisted well. Incredible what a $48 tent built in Bangladesh can go through. Tomorrow we will continue our trip.
Picton, Ontario, Canada veromarcos... Belleville, Ontario. they were quick, polite, helpful and economical! Anyway, back to my exciting last week... after getting my ticket i immediately called to cancel all my utilities and figure out final bill payments (which i have yet to make). I wrote my resignation that night at work and called my landlord to inform him of my impending vacancy So, i've all but quit my job, moved out of my house and cut off all of my lifelines... sweet ...
Belleville, Ontario, Canada billman_teskey"I wandered through the old buildings I had once explored on a certain mid-night around Halloween. This time it was dusk. Walking to the water's edge I saw a stone beach and trees with branches like black veins chaotically reaching into the world around them. The lake was frozen placid and we skipped rocks onto the ice. The limestone pieces landed in a hallow thud, impacting a ...
Kingston, Ontario, Canada lolly... saw any of the levels becoming stable and everyone would slowly dismantle and then start again. i was completely unprepared to go in - i didnt think i would but after 2 1/2 hours of watching these go at it i wanted in - especially after some of teh girls who were in our group there went in. SO i grabbed a pair of shoes off a guy who came out and went in! it was soo much fun. The roar when the tam was ripped off was so intense and then everyone proceeded to dance in the pit to ...
