Johnstown was cute. It had all these shops and random museums, like the museum of hardware and the museum of maple syrup. Supposedly there's quite a Mennonite community there. Also a broom store, antiques, pottery and other randoms. There were these little chocolate balls at the bakery called rum balls, I had to try one. Anyway, again...I'll put pics up when I get home, they are the best.
Johnstown, Ontario, Canada alifebeinglived... YOU!!!! Without my friends and family this trip would not have been possible, and it is for all ya'll (love it) that I am keeping this blog! I will try to capture my experiences in words, but I have a feeling words alone may not do justice in describing the things I will see and do, and that is why I will try to upload pics as much as I can!
See you all in 3 months, and in a new year!!!! Love you all and talk soon!! xoox
Just here to reunite with the BF before heading down to Toronto and Niagara for the weekend! Absolutely nothing happening here.. I've only been here for a grand total of 3 days and it's already boring! :P Just grabbed him after his exam finished and walked to the mall and back, transferred everything from my pack back into evil duffel bag from hell [how i didn't miss thee..] and went to one of our friend's houses to crash for the night.
TORONTO TOMORROW WOO! :)

... part for me though was seeing Lake Ontario from the train. When I saw it I instinctively said "Oh hey, it's the sea", with my company looking at me in a very confused manner saying "That's Lake Ontario..". I'm so used to large bodies of water being the sea, seeing a very large lake up close was confusing me!
The boyfriend had warned me that Belleville itself was a small town, but the train station shocked me. It was tiny and ...
we spent three days at Consecon, just south of Trenton, we rode our bike thru the back country lanes, watched beautiful sunsets and Brent went to the airshow in Trenton, Jo stayed home and did her nails!!! Or something.
This is a lovely part of the country.
The map pin is not quite accurate. We are actually closer to Belleville than anywhere else in the county, but it gives you an idea.
We left Roscoe and Susans after walking around Wyandotte. Ross took us on a little tour of areas close to Detroit, but not into Detroit inself. We drove past Susan's family home and then into an area called Delray, all derelict factories and burnt out shops, like a war zone. Surprisingly in this area was Fort Wayne, which I ...
... Picton, quite nice and welcoming. We started our fireplace early and cooked a delicious dinner of pasta with herbs...and not a minute too soon as it started raining lightly while we had our "pudding", then starting strongly and not stopping until 4 a.m. at least. The tent resisted well. Incredible what a $48 tent built in Bangladesh can go through. Tomorrow we will continue our trip.
Picton, Ontario, Canada veromarcos... picture. But I will post a couple so you get the idea. We "sortied" out of Montreal and took off down the road again. We drove a little over halfway to Toronto (about 4 hours). Tomorrow morning we will head the rest of the way to Toronto (about 2 hours) and spend the rest of the day exploring the city. Tony is excited to see ...
Belleville, Ontario, Canada meganj77... white memory of splintered ice, and then skidded out into the open area beyond. It was incredible how far they would slide. Sometime they slid and slid until out of sight but we could hear the skate of aquarian resonance for far longer. There is no other surface like this. I wish our sense did not depend so much on vision. However, the sunset was sure a sight to see. Colours changine ...
Kingston, Ontario, Canada lolly... back to the martini bar for a quick presentation and plenty of partying through the evening. The friends made during the wk and the experiences were priceless. Starting school the next wk was almost a letdown compared to it... My highlight of the first week of school was definitely recieving my camera in the mail on friday - in time for the trip to niagra the next day and to chile the next wk. Saturday (17th) was the daytrip to Niagra as organised by the international centre and it ...
