Big Cats

A travel blog entry by hpeier12

... the way back going south we encountered also Cheetahs on the road among lots of other Wild-live. The key to see the big Cats is getting up very early....having only Biscuits on the way for Break-feast..... but its worth it. The Elephant Familia frolicking and playing in the water at a waterhole where also very nice and we wished having a good camera with good zooming since ...

Day 5 Kruger National Park travel to Berg-En-Dal

A travel blog entry by bushmantours

Time to leave our lovely chalets in Lower Sabie and travel to our last camp in the Kruger, Berg-En-Dal. Packed the vehicle, again wondering how it was all going to fit in! Stopped by Sunset Dam for a last look. Hippo and croc, zebra and giraffe, wildebeest and many water birds including African Spoonbill, Grey Heron and young Fish Eagle. Again ...

Decided to pop to Sunset Dam, a few minutes drive from camp before leaving for the main game drive. This was rewarded by sightings of large numbers of impala coming to drink. They seemed to approach very close to crocs but none came to harm this time. A small herd of elephant came down ...

Day 3 Kruger National Park

A travel blog entry by bushmantours

Sorry no photos at the moment as internet signal very slow, unable to upload. We are in the African bush after all! Since the last update, we have had an incident last night. Ann came into our room and said she thought there was a bat in their room! After checking, there was indeed a bat on the curtain in her room. Michael managed to remove the small bat by coaxing it into a box and releasing it outside. Checking in the ...
