... the old staircase, We had a great view of the city. All along the road were sheep and goats. The goats actually climb trees to eat the Argan fruit! We then entered the maze of streets and stores known as the souk. Spices, meat, and goods abound. I rolled up my sleeves for a good round of negotiating. ... Saturday night. The next day we relaxed around Agadir, checking out the free bird valley park before another quiet night. On the Monday we decided to jump on a local bus up to the popular little surf town of Taghazout. Unfortunately the waves were nowhere to be found today but a dip in the Atlantic and some good lunch at a local restaurant meant the day was not a waste. ... We had to take a 4X4 off road track to get there yet at the other side there were plenty of normal small cars there – these Moroccans are crazy! The beach was quite nice (apart from the rubbish – but everywhere has mountains of rubbish, even the national park was full of rubbish) and there are caves in the cliffs which are used by local fishermen. We then headed back to Agadir where Ross and I were quite happy to shower and ...

... is not something I was hoping to hear…

Finally, I head on my way, wandering through a couple of neighbourhoods that didn’t exist back then, including a large section near the coast that is being turned into a whole new residential/tourism zone. Right now it’s still dark and dreary with just a scattering of houses, hotels and cafes.

And that brings my 3rd “Adventure Day” in the South Coast Region to a ...
