... was delicious and it was a great atmosphere.
Afterwards, we were on another mission, to get some caramels! Paris is known for their desserts so we headed to Jacques Genin. This place is known for exquisite chocolate as well as caramels! There was so much to choose from, we didn't know how to decide! We just went for and ordered a variety of caramels, truffles, milk and dark chocolate…. when in Paris!!
... we walked long to the Seine River to get on a cruise, only to discover the stupid woman at the tourist office had not given us the correct ticket. After some language issues (what's new) and some sweet talking by Helen, they let us on the boat and we spent a delightful hour and a bit cruising up and down the Seine, looking at the Note-Dame, the bridges, the sparkling Eiffel tower. Very relaxing.

... herself at it dramatically ; then someone leans around her to press the button. Ads soon falls asleep and I do too a bit after. We wake up in France. Check in time at the hotel is not until 2pm so I suggest we take a trip on the Seine as something to do without carrying our bags around, and so we head for Les Bateaux Mouches. It's absolutely freezing, but we stay outside as long as we can bear it - about ¾ of the trip - before going into the central covered part where the majority ...

the longest queue to do that deters us today.. Instead we amble around the cobblestone roads full of more folk doing the same.. Cafés overflow to the footpaths with yes..more queues waiting for their touch, taste and drink of Paris. Buskers are plentiful.. Music fills the air.. The smell of oil paint wafts by as many street artists are creating another ..hopeful.. sale for the tourist.

After lunch we walked the district for a look around and went along the Promenade I mentioned yesterday. It was quite busy today with a lot of security around for some reason. This is a family orientated area and we hired a small runabout for an hour; sailing in a defined area, which included the front of our hotel room.
