    A deserted marina

A travel blog entry by sophistikitty on Sep 22, 2014

It was raining when we left our anchorage, disappointingly, but the weather cleared before too long and we hoisted our spinnaker to sail the 30 miles to Garrucha.

We were expecting that we'd have to go into the marina here, and as we got further up the coast this went from likely to inevitable. The wind picked up and we changed to white sails, with sizeable ...

... leftover burgers with some green beans I had bought from camp shop and some of a huge portion of frites from restaurant! Not so healthy but finished with an apple - is that compensation? We did go next to a ...

A travel blog entry by eamesy on Sep 08, 2014

A very relaxing day at the luxury apartment ! The Scotts all went to Almeira on a business trip and I enjoyed doing very little except chill on the veranda and read. No complaints there! In the evening we enjoyed one of Pete's speciality BBQ s with all the trimmings from Al. No one driving so no problems about alcohol consumption. To be fair the only problem we have is ...

Pete and Al have reconnoitred an Anglican church about half an hours drive away with a lady minister, statues of our lady, a friendly English congregation and the preacher who has a daughter that taught at Turi in 1989 in the brand new senior school as the very first 'head of English. So must be worth a visit! A drive up into the hills and the  church of  San Pasqual is perched on the top of a hill with Eucharist at 11 o'clock. Got there ...
