    We arrived at Cabo de Gata around 2 pm which has beautiful beaches with clear water but full of sea urchins, on top of that we got hassled by aggressive flies and sandblasted as there was a special wind called the Poniente for a couple of days.     We wondered why there was a sudden influx of campers last night and then it clicked – it's May day and the Spanish don’t wait for the following Monday before they take the holiday.
