As we have settled into staying in one place for longer than a few days at a time, Rachael and I are loving both our time in Arequipa and our work at the orphanage. ... burial sites of human sacrifices to the mountain gods. One sacrifice was a 12 year old girl now referred to as Juanita. She was basically frozen in the freezing temperatures on the top of the mountain and is so well preserved that you can see the skin on her hands and she still has hair and most of her bodily organs.
