Sorry we haven't blogged for a while, we're being hampered by Internet challenges.

We arrived in North Carolina (Sunset Beach) on Saturday and have settled into our home for the week. It's a condo (a flat to the English) on a golf course about five minutes from the beach. It's very comfortable and spacious and it's especially nice to be able to wash some clothes after nine days on the road.

... warm enough to swim in! After a few hours of sunbathing and playing in the waves we drove across the street from the park to Brookgreen Gardens. The thousands of acres were once 4 plantations that a very wealthy family purchased around 1930 and decided to turn it into a wildlife refuge with sculpture exhibits and beautiful gardens. ... thrilled to be helping uncle Craig set up his fireworks display!
At sunset, we all tried to help Craig get the show going, asking people to move back, loading the "shells" into the mortars, rolling out 30' of continuous firecrackers, etc...
Once the sun sets, the show begins to the sounds of folks on the beach yelling out their oohs and ahaas! Wow! Absolutely incredible show and worthy of any city sponsored ...

... the sunshine so many wearing their red white and blue bathing suites :-). Bryan watched the tennis then joined me at the pool, too bad we didn't win.

We we decided to go back to Ruth's Chris again tonight it's so close and handy we can walk from the boat.
