    ... museum we walked along the main street to a marina almost completely surrounded by high brick walls except for an opening for the boats to use to go to sea. The marina was almost completely empty of water and the boats were sitting on the mud. The rise and fall of the tide is amazing and, as we were there, the tide turned and the sea began to fill the marina.

    We encountered a traffic jam as we entered Plymouth and the last few miles were at snail’s pace. We got to the hotel early so we left the car in the hotel carpark and walked into the centre of the city to collect the train tickets for our journey to London on Monday.
