    ... Exeter to Barcelona for 32, yes 32 - incredible but it does take over 30 hours :-( still good to know though. We are thinking, Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Ronda, Granada - Andalucia because of all the typical white spanish houses !! easily pleased lol - nothing to do with the tapas :-). Would like to visit the Jerez region and sample a few sherry's and maybe Rioja for the red wine - any ideas/advice gladly received. 10 weeks to go wayhay x

    ... countryside was simply memorable as we sped through country lanes & villages. Our driver is very fast so miss LOTS. Can't wail for our self drive- oh one more day & we'll be doing just that.     ... Roman baths & hot mineral springs. Once leaving Bath was onto motorway & our lunch break at Glastonbury with its abbey ruins. A beautiful sunny day made it easy to stroll the streets of this rather quaint & colourful town with its rather " alternate" shops.     ... and white sheep and ponies. Animals have right of way and don't hurry to get off the roads. We climbed Hounds Tor, a volcanic rock formation, then took what we thought was the road to Chagford. The foliage of the hedgerows brushed both sides of our little Astra as we came across isolated stone farm houses complete with thatched rooves, a bonus for getting lost!!

    7.30am breakfast followed by a local walk. Then headed off to Weymouth. Had coffee in the car due to cold. Spent the day covering the scenic route found lots of pubs closed today. Monday.
