... we did not understand what it was, but then we realized what day we were. It was the anniversary of the day the Dalai Lama left Tibet.
Most of the people marching and shouting were young tibetans with tibetan flags painted on their faces.
The streets were filled with shouts of anger and hope!
Seeing that new generation rising up and determined, followed by all those people who believed in them, made us feel that maybe after all there is HOPE for TIBET...

I finally sat down for dinner at a restaurant in McLeod Ganj about 8pm - having hiked the last bit along a road in the dark - and was exhausted! I don't think I've ever hiked that much in one day before, especially not with such a long uphill climb!
... is really cool...it is up in the mountains and was like of a mountain ski resort (just in the summer)....there were incredible views of the mountains and the valley. It was only about 24 degrees in the day, which was soo nice for a change and we could wear jumpers in the evening woo...it was like being in a different country as there were loads of Tibetan refugees living there and most of the food was Tibetan, lots of yummy noodles ...
