Stood in the aisles, doubling up on seats etc. I got to see many farm workers and people who sort the bamboo. Not really a big tourist place, more like a get away from the city. I can see the appeal of staying in one of the many $500+/night resorts on the top of the mountain. Day 11 Sunday 28th August 2011



Up at 6am to sort out my case and then down to breakfast. Stomach is not so good again this morning. Had some breakfast and then on to the bus. There are only 15 of us going today. There was a 45 minute ride on the bus to the village which has 30,000 people living there. We travelled through the countryside and saw the crops and saw where the guide Alan lives. ...

... somewhere and get off the GSP and drive up Rt. 17, I'd see all those stores in Paramus and knew I was close to my house but it didn't feel like home yet. And then I remember years later driving up Rt 17 again and having that warm comforting feeling of being home soon. I'm not sure if I'll ever have that same feeling about Suzhou, time will tell.
