... students in China.I had already given GDITC notice and been replaced, but found myself reluctant to return home. With only a few weeks left on my residence GDITC Residence Permit, I was scrambling. Because I was already at the official retirement age, my options were much decreased. ... that apparently men leave the park feeling really inadequate after seeing the stone, I thought that was funny. We then walked up another rock and saw some old temples under the caves, that had been destroyed - there was some really nice architecture. It was a nice walk through the trees with occasional views over what looked like miles and miles of mountains, silhouettes against the sky, and other huge red rocks. We visited the orphanage again today and said goodbye to the children. It was the weekend so many of the administrative staff were not there at the orphanage. ... Our driver had to stop many times to ask directions. And even after all that when he arrived at the school we told him it was the wrong location. Once again it didn't look the same as it did back in 2006. After much back and forth dialogue he agreed to drive around some more. ... there would be adopted but the director said it was unlikely given the severity of their special needs. We did meet one little girl who is being adopted by a family in America. We were able to take photos to send to that family when we return.
