    ... the top of our building. It went on for half hour and we can only assume the niose came from the top of our building. Luckily we got back to sleep. Anyway waking up meant we had survived the night so we booked for our last night in Guiyang.
    It was another **** day weather wise so only one thing for it. Shopping! After miles of walking, a purchased a pair of jeans and a strong cocktail later, we headed back to our room with a noodle pot and bottle of red wine. Glug glug glug!

    Today's window sketch from our apartment features a new sports centre all angles; I should earn some brownie points from Anne Langdon for doing what she asked which was to make a sketch from a window in each place we stay.

    We ate a meal in one of the new shiny chrome shopping complexes, navigating the crowds looking, shopping and pushing their children who they had lifted into shopping trolleys.

    To return to a place that has strong good memories is always exciting but also fraught with uncertainty.We did expect change but not to the extent that we saw in Guiyang


    We caught a taxi into the city of Guiyang and asked to be dropped at Guiyang medical college where as most of you know we lived and worked for two years.
