Our hotel in Hangzhou is a traditional Chinese garden hotel - so quiet and peaceful. The breakfast room was along a lake with swans and ducks and colorful flowers. ... we were able to sit for the over an hour bus ride back. The streets were packed with people heading back into town and the ride was long! Once back into the city we were able to take the subway back to the hotel were we had dinner at the buffer restaurant on the 22nd floor of the hotel. It was $40 per person which is a huge amount for China but at that point it did not matter. Tomorrow we are leaving at 6:30 for Nanjing which should be interesting.

... the major draw for spending time in Hangzhou.
