We went to Hangzhou, China on a train that went 304 km/hr. from Shanghai. It was a super fast train.

It was another hazy day in tropical Hangzhou, pronounced "Hung Joe", don't ask. The are hills between my hotel and the lake. Yesterday a took the roads to the lake but noticed a possibility of a track over the hills. I found a small park that looked promising as the track. I went to checkout the reputed scenic lake to the west of Hangzhou cryptically called West Lake. Local tourists were out in force, hiring boats, getting dressed in ancient dress, wandering the lake and numerous gardens. While I enjoy my Chinese teas, this morning I opened what I thought contained a tea bag to find small flowers which I put in a pot with hot water, a strainer would have been good but it tasted very nice, I digress. ... I was relieved to get the package with a sim and train ticket to Beijing. I was annoyed to find the sim had virtually no data allowance and instructions to reload was in Chinese. The bellman helped to put more credit on the phone.I was quite impressed with the hotel room.
