    We have spent the last 3 weeks in Vietnam, travelling south to north. We started our Vietnamese journey in Ho Chi Minh City (formally Saigon). As the biggest city in the south there was a lot to do here. We visited the Reunification Palace and took in a quick tour of the city including the Opera House, night markets and Notre Dame Cathedral (a replica of the Parisian building).     Sapa is a remote town in the hills of North Vietnam. To get there, you need to take an overnight sleeper train. The ride is about 9-10 hours and train was surprisingly comfortable. We arrived Sunday morning at 7am, which is significant as there's a famous market in Bac Ha, 2 hours from the train station, that only opens on Sunday.
