We woke today to another wet start but some of the fog had cleared slightly and we could see a nearby mountain but nothing in the distance. Thang arrived at 09:30 as scheduled and today we had a couple of friends join us (from Scotland and Czech) and a guy from Melbourne of Vietnamese/Chinese origins, Alex.

We told Thang that Daisy was worried about how her knees would cope but he said it was easy today nearly all downhill. He ...

When they get married they wear their hair up and wear many big earrings. She spoke of another tribe the Red Zao that ...

If you have had enough of the chinese cultures in Jianshui, but have a few more days to spare, you can take a trip out of town to MengZi (蒙自), the next city some 100+ km away to the East.

        Day Trip to
BiSeZhai Old train station .(碧色寨老ğ 79;车站)

I decided to come all the way out to the wild outskirts of Mengzi to see the famous but not-frequently-visited BiSeZhai Old ...

... pains by the end, but I used my medical knowledge to diagnose muscular strain rather that a heart attack.

On the finished side of the bridge, workmen looked at us as if we were aliens, having no idea where we had come from. Mikey told them to hurry up building their bloody bridge and they laughed. They indicated that we could make it to a tiny village 12 miles from Manhao, but couldn’t tell us what happened after that. We could at least see there was another ...
